Recently, I took part in a group shoot that I learned of through a favored facebook group. I had never actually done any pinup photography prior to the event but I had often considered the idea. The shoot was hosted by Epic Exposure’s. I must say, their studio was absolutely exquisite!
I want to extend my thanks to each and every person that participated! Each model brought something extra special to the table. These ladies rocked! Between the eye-catching wardrobes and flawless makeup, it is certainly safe to say that these ladies brought your A games. Overall, this was an excellent shoot. I had a great deal of fun getting to know some new faces. Our shoots were a bit like speed dating but things were so well organized that the flow occurred somewhat naturally. I would happily work with any of these ladies any day of the week. So much fun!
I’ve always been a fan of museums just as I have always studied flight in wonderment. Living so close to Boeing, I get my fair share of interesting aerial sightings. I did photograph the Blue Angels from Boeing field, where I acquired the worst sunburn of my adult life. But not until recently had I had the opportunity to attend Boeing’s Museum of Flight.
I highly recommend this educational day trip adventure to anyone. The history is rich within those walls. The knowledgeable and personable docents were eager to strike up an informative conversation with patrons. The large main room windows allowed for light to pour through many different types of suspended aircraft. The outdoor portion was quite cold (being the middle of the winter, to be expected. lol) but worth being uncomfortable. This is where we were able to walk through some aircraft, including JFK’s airforce one. Cool stuff.
Overall, the entire visit was a whole lot of fun and very educational. The staff was great, too.
In addition to my other photography ventures, I really do enjoy product photography. While I would rather have a product that does require advanced styling, I still find some fulfillment in basic shots isolated on black or white. It is minimalist but effective. Sometimes it is easy to forget that all those shots populating those online storefronts we frequent had to be skillfully photographed.
She decided to celebrate her recent weight loss. Feeling confident in her transformed body, she stepped outside of her comfort zone and onto my set. Like many often do, she arrived a bit nervous and a little uncertain but those anxieties were quickly eased once she was in the makeup chair and talking with us girls over some white wine. Amanda used her master cosmetology skills to enhance and polish M.’s natural beauty. She was also very helpful during the shoot.
M. came prepared! Not only did she bring a great clothing selection, she brought her own music playlist that we rocked out to throughout the shoot. (She seriously has excellent taste in music!) She personally requested to use her band tees. I love it! She is gorgeous and she deserves to know it! Hot damn! I’m so glad that she did this for herself and I’m so glad that I could do this for her.
Recently, a new friend invited me to photograph an event; Her Big Day: A Cultural Wedding Affair. The showroom was full of brilliantly arranged and decorated booths featuring some of the finest wedding garments, floral arrangements, jewelry, and beauty specialists in the industry.
Designers’ featured their culturally diverse designs in a spectacular fashion show. The gorgeous models we just as diverse in all size, shape, attitude, and ethnicity.
Updated Site Design!
I hate web design. But I made this site at the cost of some degree of sanity out of sheer necessity. Over the last few days, I have been attempting to update both the form and function of the site itself while also adding more quality content. Some things that you might notice:
