February Pinup Photoshoot

Recently, I took part in a group shoot that I learned of through a favored facebook group. I had never actually done any pinup photography prior to the event but I had often considered the idea. The shoot was hosted by Epic Exposure’s. I must say, their studio was absolutely exquisite!

I want to extend my thanks to each and every person that participated! Each model brought something extra special to the table. These ladies rocked! Between the eye-catching wardrobes and flawless makeup, it is certainly safe to say that these ladies brought your A games. Overall, this was an excellent shoot. I had a great deal of fun getting to know some new faces. Our shoots were a bit like speed dating but things were so well organized that the flow occurred somewhat naturally. I would happily work with any of these ladies any day of the week. So much fun!

Late December family portrait session

This was a really great family portrait session! Joy and her wonderful family made my day! I am incredibly thankful that the weather, albeit a bit frigid, it held out just for us! This time of year, the golden hour comes a bit early in the Pacific Northwest. I think we nailed it, though.

Each and every member of this family was a pleasure to meet and to photograph! Between their brilliant smiles and your lively personalities, I had an absolute blast! This is such a great family!

Exploring Fremont

I’ve been trying to get out and explore a bit more. There is a lot to learn and appreciate about this area. I took an afternoon and walked about a bit of Fremont. In all honesty, I wish I had left earlier. the bus ride was a brutal hour and  half! (yuck) But the adventure was worth it.

While at the bus stop, I took a photo of the sky to show how exceptionally clear the day was… at least when I began my journey.

Sometimes, I feel like a creeper.

Fremont certainly has a style all its own.

The beautiful weather attracted all sorts to come outside and play. The water and trail were quite active. I even spotted some local wildlife.

Even though I know I haven’t even scratched the surface, Fremont has to be one of my favorite neighborhoods, I think.

Gas Works Park was fun, too. I made it in time to see the crowd gathering atop the hill to usher out a glorious day; the break from the Seattle winter gloom.

It was refreshing to be able to shake off the winter blues for a while and surround myself with so many others just enjoying the same in their own ways.
